Terms of Use for Recipients

Article 1 – Purpose

These Terms of Use govern the use of the ALOLAO platform by Recipients accessing content shared via QR code by a Sender.

Article 2 – Accessing Content

To access content, the Recipient must:

  • Both the QR code and the password created by the sender. This password may be shared physically or included in the email if the sender invited the recipient via email.

  • Create a user account (email and password)

  • Accept the Terms of Use (TOU)

Article 3 – Viewing and Storage

  • Files become accessible starting from their scheduled release date.

  • ⚠️ WARNING: Files are automatically deleted 90 days after being released to the ALOLAO inbox. After this period, they will be permanently erased from our servers for GDPR compliance purposes. We therefore strongly recommend downloading delivered files as soon as they arrive in your inbox.

Article 4 – Notifications

  • The Recipient may enable free of charge notifications to be informed when content is released.

  • These notifications are only sent on the release date.

Article 5 – Refusing Future Messages 

The Recipient may choose to refuse future messages (“Stop receiving messages”). This reversible action results in:

  • The suspension of all new scheduled message deliveries
  • The suspension of all notifications

Article 6 – Recipient Obligations

The Recipient agrees to:

  • Not share login credentials

  • Not impersonate others

  • Not access unauthorized content

Article 7 – Liability and Security

  • The service is built on a secure infrastructure (encryption, authentication).

  • ALOLAO is not liable for data loss resulting from file downloads or extended inactivity.

Article 8 – Personal Data

  • Only the email address is collected, used for identification, account recovery, and notification delivery.

  • In accordance with the GDPR, the Recipient has the right to access, rectify, and delete their data by contacting:

Article 9 – Service Termination

  • In the event of ALOLAO service termination, Recipients will be notified by email with a 90-day notice period. During this time, all scheduled messages will be made available in the Recipient’s account, waiting to be read or downloaded. After this period, all data, including unread messages, will be permanently deleted.
