Terms of Use – Sender

Article 1 – Purpose

These Terms of Use define the conditions under which the ALOLAO platform may be used by any person (hereinafter the "Sender") who wishes to create, store, and send digital messages via a personalized QR code.

Article 2 – Acceptance

Use of the service implies full and complete acceptance of the Terms of Use, formalized upon the purchase or activation of a QR code.

Article 3 – Access

The Sender accesses their personal space via a unique QR code and password. A valid email address is required to receive the QR code, notifications, and to recover access in case of loss.

Article 4 – Features

Depending on the selected plan, the Sender may upload files (text, audio, video, image, PDF), schedule them for delayed delivery, and modify them as long as they have not been opened.

Article 5 – QR Code Transmission

The Sender is solely responsible for delivering the QR code to the Recipient (physically or via link). Without this step, the files will remain inaccessible.

Article 6 – Pricing and Payment

All services are paid and processed via Stripe. All sales are final upon storage activation, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code regarding the supply of digital content not provided on a tangible medium.

Article 7 – Storage and Deletion

Files are encrypted, hosted on Backblaze infrastructure, and automatically deleted from our servers 90 days after delivery to the Recipient. No recovery is possible after this period.

To ensure the reliability of the service and the availability of messages on their scheduled release date, the storage space allocated at the time of message creation remains counted as used for the entire duration of the message’s scheduling period.

This policy prevents last-minute changes that could affect system stability or storage costs already incurred. Even if a message is deleted or replaced before its delivery date, the reserved space remains allocated to guarantee service continuity and allow for possible extensions or renewals (‘recharge in space and time’) without interruption.

Article 8 – Sender Commitments

The Sender agrees to:

  • Not upload illegal content or material that infringes on third-party rights

  • Keep access credentials confidential

  • Use the service for personal purposes only, unless written permission is obtained

Article 9 – Liability

ALOLAO shall not be held liable for data loss resulting from improper use, force majeure, or incorrect QR code transmission.

Article 10 – Personal Data

Only the email address is collected, for identification and billing purposes. The user may exercise their rights (access, deletion, etc.) by contacting privacy@alolao.com, in accordance with GDPR regulations.

Article 11 – Service Termination

In the event of a permanent shutdown of the ALOLAO service, a 30-day notice will be sent via email. During this period, files may be downloaded or deleted. After this deadline, all data will be permanently erased.
